Recomendations in the Calis area.

My hubby has told me to clear my cookies and search again ( not sure if he is trying to pull my leg) so I will as soon as I can find  them
The first thing I thought of when waking today was Hotel club e, so this is driving me nuts:D
S-cabby I think Highlander was thinking that a 13yr old may need his own room different to the 7yr old thats how I thought it to be anyway.

First thing first Flights to be booked today then hotel to choose transfers can allways be left till later.

Could you tell me if one part of the prom is bussier than another part and what part of beach is better for kids this would be very helpfull.

Orient is a changed place SuperC. It's rarely used by British people (which in itself is not a negative). We've walked through it a couple of times and it's very noisy. The music blares out all day from the bar area, and lots of the rooms are like a rotunda around this area, hence I'd presume it would be a nightmare if you were trying to chill out on your balcony. It's also mega popular with short stay Eatern European bus tours, coming and going at all hours of the day and night. We watched the continuous stream of coaches when we stayed at the Cenk Bay directly acoross the road. There is a security guard/s at entrance but anyone can walk in and are never checked in my experience of the place.

No, that is not the best we can do.
It is one of the things we can do and, indeed, have done.
There was some advice offered and considered before Highlander made his suggestion.
In addition, the suggestion was accompanied by an invitation to come back for some advice.

I might be silly but I would have thought that's what people do before they come here! Just reminded me of a topic a few weeks ago where someone was after some local knowledge and one reply (apparently trying to be helpful) was "try google"...

we go to the oykun. nice hotel & staff. i book flights seperate, also transfers with the oykun & book a room direct with the oykun

We have only ever stayed in two hotels in Calis, neither of which I thought suited jacqtay's requirements and therefore couldn't recommend them.

My sister-in-law stayed in the Oykun last September and was very impressed with it (as have many cbf members) which is why a mentioned it. Laffa has praised the Mutlu (again as have many cbf members) which is a good enough recommendation for me.

I could have simply listed the hotels in the general area but thought it more useful for jacqtay if she had some information about each and the easiest way for me was through Travel Republic. This would also give her a pointer as to the booking procedures which I think she said she wasn't familiar with.

I admit to being remiss in not including the Hotel Search on here as a suitable vehicle for jacqtay.

Hi,

with regard to Hotels I just saw your post. If you have not been to calis before you will find that it has a fantastic cheap Dolmus Service. (minibuses) that go everywhere. So, dont limit yourself to only Hotels almost on the Beach!  Certainly within your budget would probably be the Rebin Beach Hotel, I have stayed there for the past 3 years, mainly because of the value for money and the quiet location. It is a short walk to the Beach and the Dolmus stops opposite. Has one of the largest pools in Calis but no water slide I am afraid!

As I said have stayed 3 times, enjoyed it, excellent value for money although have decided to treat us to staying in Mutlu on thye Beach this year for first time!

Eating out in Calis is cheap and varied, but the cost difference in B&B and Half Board used to be so small we booked half board last two years and ate in Hotel fo at least half the time! ( may not be so any more!)
