I read that Strettle is saying it was definitely a try.

HELLO I've got news for you - it wasn't and just for the avoidance of doubt the final score was as follows:

England 12 WALES 19

Better grammar would be you and I  ;).

Sorry Valleyboy, one thing that BM06, perhaps the sole thing, got right was the grammar in this sentence. Perhaps he could post the site where you can buy a snide tee-shirt; I think I'd like one.

I think quite a few of us will be honorary Scotsmen this afternoon.

I would be very proud to be davybill.

What I cannot abide is the continuing attitude of the English that they simply refuse to accept the fact that they have lost. All I seem to have heard since the final whistle is "did England lose that game rather than Wales winning it"

And getting back to the Strettle decision, I don't seem to remember England complaining about the Greig Laidlaw decision so vociferously

Good match to watch as a neutral. Lots of ambition and endeavour from the Scots and good tries. But most of their attacks depended on  individual flair without team support early on, and then it all got a bit frantic and careless in the last 20 minutes. The French are used to winning and don't panic when behind, don't force the ball in passes, and keep coming back from advantage with some points.

Agreed Colwyn - problem is that you cannot be careless in any of the 20 minute period

Feel sorry for Scotland, always give 100%, and still the dry spell continues ! - France not good today - Rennie outstanding, deserved Man of the Match award.
