Some more crossed off, it is looking good  :)

I do wish the people who request to be listed as anonymous wouldn't - I think everyone should let the World know that they supported this great project  ;)

For anyone coming over and wants to bring some stuff out Poundland (not Pound Savers or such like) has lots of useful things like packs of 36 colour pencils for £1 and 2 packs of 16 Felt Tips for £1, jumbo crayons, note books etc...

There are a whole heap of other things in Poundland in just the Stationery section alone that are on the list and would be great for the school.

Check it out here

That is so much cheaper than you can buy out here in Turkey, even with our allowed discount.

Yes it is - and its all genuine brands and good quality.

We could make huge savings on many of the items on the list which could be used elsewhere - all we need are a few willing volunteers to bring it over  :)

poundland stock is very similar to what we sell at work, I'm pretty sure my boss will allow me to purchase these at cost so I will only be paying around 70p per pk.

I am looking at taking writing pencils, coloured pencils and felttip whatever i find thats the best value.

How many pupils does the school have and what age group are they?

As I said I know I will struggle with weight limit so will just bring what I can this time but will bring more in August every little bit help.

Thanks very much Karen.  There are about 30 pupils at the school aged between 6 and 9.

Whatever you can manage to bring out will be great as every little bit helps  :) Any items can be dropped off at the 3C's charity shop or we can arrange to meet up, just let us know when you are out.

These are the kind of double desks and chair sets that we are looking to purchase for the children at Bozalan.  The model that we actually  saw in the shop was orange.  The supplier is kindly prepared to waive the KDV tax (similar to VAT).

These sets cost £70 each including cargo from the supplier's depot to the school.  We need 15 of these if we can raise enough money.

The desks at the school at the moment are very old wooden ones with lots of splinters and sharp edges and the children are sitting three to a desk in most cases - not the best way to learn.

A Turkish buisness lady who wishes to remain anonymous was so taken with the Bozalan project that she gave us 500 TL to donate to the CBF Bozalan fund this afternoon. A wonderful gesture - thank you so much  :).
