Thos Cook hand luggage dimensions are now back to:

55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm

book.flythomascook.com/checklist/baggage/

Also for anyone flying from Manchester I can confirm that they are not checking or weighing hand luggage at the departure gate.

yes, thomas cook dimensions are fine....55 x 40 x 20......Stoop I opened your link and thought you had lost the plot!!! Glad to hear they are not weighing, but Im not taking a chance. Spoke to a friend who flies regularly with Ryanair and he takes the big bags for life that you get at Tescos, Asda etc!!!! I know it doesnt look classy, but they fit the measurement restrictions and weigh next to nothing, so virtually all kilos are belongings and not case! :)  By the way, does anybody know if you can take bacon in hand luggage to Turkey...??

You are not supposed to Sue but lots do.
If I take bacon I usually put it in the hold rather than hand luggage as its a lot colder in there than in the cabin

Our experience has been that if your checked in luggage is not over then they don't bother with your hand luggage at check-in.  They were not weighing or checking dimensions at the departure gate in Manchester on Friday and there was no evidence of luggage frames.

I flew from Newcastle last week and they didnt even look at my hand luggage never mind weigh it. It is quite a big bag on wheels and I took a trunki through for my 20 month old daughter too no problem.
Im a thomas cook fan at the min as they blocked off an empty seat next to me as I was flying alone with my daughter.
That will prob annoy all the people who will say why should you get special treatment when travelling with infants :D
