We had a very relaxed and friendly evening at Kings Garden in Fethiye, actually our first visit although Salih and I speak often on MSN. I'll do a review sometime but I thought you might like to see the result of an excellent idea that the restaurant came up with - have your starter, walk up to ancient Lycian rock tombs (which sit above the restaurant) - thus reactivating your appetite when you return in readiness for your main course. It's a winner, I must say.
The tombs are incredible - if you have never been right up to them you must, really must - and Kings Garden will also pick you up and drop you home free of charge, which made things easy for us.
I could fill this topic with pictures of the rock tombs - some 200 years old and some from last week but I will not on this occasion. Kings Garden Restaurant has fabulous views across Fethiye Bay - but the 'Kings' of Lycia had an even better one - note how high we are above the streets below - this I took from the steps at the entrance to the tomb of the ancient ruler Amyntas:
I was ready for the main course after climbing up there
