Claiming Tax Back

My son has been contacted by a company called Hemscott Associates who say that they will help him to reclaim any tax back that is due to him. I am puzzled as to how they came across his telephone number.Has anyone any experience of this sort of company?

Just ignore it he can contact HMRC himself if he thinks he is due anything back

The same as with "ambulance chasing" solicitors, they buy a batch of telephone nos & use them for cold calling. I get regular calls on my UK mobile no offering to get me compensation for my (mythical) accident.

No doubt, if this company do get any tax back for your son, they'll take IRO 25% as their cut, just contact HMRC direct.
