I have given you a thumbs up for this post. Would indeed be nice if you could see for what post you receive it.
It's not ideal but I think it serves it's purpose better as a nett value than how many +s and -s. Negativity is not really part of the CBF culture - not from member to member anyway - we are supposed to be here to help each other and share information, advice and experiences.
The current one is supposed to be a bit of fun and to give an idea of who is thought of as a helpful member - it works well as long as it is in positive territory but stinks when in negative. It rates members rather than posts and Steve and I are keen to find a "thanks" or "like" alternative that shows positive appreciation for posts (rather than members). Sadly, we can't find a suitable one yet but will keep looking.
In the meantime - please consider avoiding using the current one to gang up on people, use it to vote for someone who helped you with advice, info or made you laugh, by clicking thumbs up. If I could turn off the thumbs down and just have the thumbs up I would.
