Olive Garden at Kabak
« on: July 05, 2012, 11:08:12 AM »
We have decided to take ourselves off for a week and do a bit of exploring, we can't decide whether to travel down the coast towards Kas or head North up the coast.

Recently I have seen a number of advertisements for the Olive Garden in Kabak and thought it might be nice to spend a night there, has anyone been and could give some direction on how to get there?

Cheers.

Head north up the coast every time.  Haven't stayed overnight but have visited for the day.  The restaurant/ bar is very popular with walkers and the scenery in that area is stupendous.  I don't think I have ever seen anything quite so spectacular and just love visiting that area - it is so tranquil.

Go go through Olu Deniz and follow the signs for Faralya (Butterfly Valley) - sorry don't know correct spelling.  Alternatively, once an hour the Olu Deniz Dolmus continues to Kabak.

Another place to consider staying is the Lazy Lizard at Faralya.  Good food, nice wine and not too expensive.  Infinity pool with towels and swimwear provided.

That is brilliant and Thanks Margie, I guess it must be the road that runs past the old white dolphin restaurant ?

We will give the lazy lizard a try when we head up there next week. Really looking forward to it.

Sorry don't know the White Dolphin but you pass Lykia World if you know where that is.

The road past the old White Dolphin is the right way. lazy Lizard can be missed. After travelling tho Faralya(Uzunyurt) there is a small market on the left hand side some 4k along. Just after the market there is a dolmus stop with an Ad for lazy lizard need to turn left immidiatly before the dolmus stop. dont be put off by the road condition as all really good hotels should have roads like that??.. Olive garden is right at the end of the main road, best to go to the turnaroud area then start to head back towards Olu for about 150 mtrs then you may see the sign for Olive Garden on the left. Again not the best road and a little steep but plenty of parking area at the Garden. fab drive, both even better places.
