Angels in disguise
« on: July 27, 2012, 17:30:02 PM »
Wow !!! have a crisis and find out just how wonderful some people are. I had a telephone call last night from Bambu restaurant where we (Embrace) hold our charity mornings. We use a room as a depot to store all our sales items in and as our sales have finished until September they  now need to use the room for a couple of new waiters to sleep in. ASAP.  Huge problem to me as three of our helpers are back in UK plus we have no transport of our own. One frantic telephone call to Pauline at Animal Aid and bingo it was all hands to the deck .Today Pauline Andy Terrie Simon Linda John Caz and Baz all from Animal Aid plus Wendy and Richard and Dave Janette and Diane all worked their socks off in this heat to transport all the stuff to my basement  I truthfully don't know how we would have managed without them all and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. I did hear a comment made "Well we all have to help each other " and I thought what a wonderful sentiment actually being put into practise. Bless you all.

Without wanting to sound at all negative (which I am not!) - why is it always the same names when it comes to expat good guys over there?!

Wonderful to have a group with communal spirit and people who answer a call when help is needed. We need more of this! Well done guys.

Probably because these folks are a cut above the rest when it comes to caring, Scunner. A wonderful, wonderful gesture to help out like this.

If we could not rally round to help a lovely lady like Mavis, there would be no hope for anybody.
