I watched the whole thing live via BBC 1. Was a late night though and didnt go to bed till 3 am but I loved and proud to be British. We did it our way and didnt try to emulate Beijing, after all, we dont have several million slaves at our disposal like China does.
The way they let 7 youngsters light the torch and not an established sports person was great but not sure why Mohammed Ali was there as I am sure, from what I last heard, he was American. Also very surprised by the amount of female athletes awarded by their nations to be flag bearers.
10 out 0f 10.

Its only Monday and there's a long way to go yet. But as its stands we have 2 medals so far and Germany have none. So a good start. But we have we have to beat those boys and girls from down under. Can't have them getting one over us.
