I thought I would drop by and see how everyone was.
Due to long employment termination notices, shipping, long stay in UK for xmas and hanging around for the 90 day period of pets blood tests, I have finally come to my very last weekend in this country.
Monday I fly to London with our cats and then leave them with my mother-in-laws in Newcastle (No quarantine anymore), where they will stay till autumn before flying to Hong Kong. I come back to Istanbul on the Wednesday and leave the very next day to Hong Kong.
By strange coincidence, our shipping container arrives the same day and our air shipment was already delivered a couple of weeks ago.
As it might be of interest to some, for the shipment of pets, they have to go cargo to London. Also you will have to use a cargo company but I am using Suleyman at Dynamic cargo and they have been great (also he speaks English). Drop me a PM if you would like their details.

quick update.
Its great to be out of the cold and in warm Hong Kong. believe it or not, after 2 and a half weeks I still havent eaten a chinese meal yet.
Still waiting for our sofa to be delivered as we ordered new and also carpenter for the walk in but apart from that everything unpacked and sorted and will look for work after the chinese new year.

Best thing is that after 20 years in Turkey, the choice you get at supermarkets here and the price (cheap) is jaw dropping. Also tons of english channels and have 500mb speed internet, didnt go for 1gb speed as didnt want to pay the extra 9 pound a month.

The shipment of the cats went very smoothly. I know this is a subject that has interest for some people and will make a separate post in the relevant area to make it easier to find.
