I have had an angiogram via the upper thigh. I didn't mention this in response to your earlier post saying you were facing it since my experience was not very fortunate. Following the procedure I experienced some pain, but worse, loss of proper nerve response from the front part of my leg down to my ankle. I say "proper" response since I was getting "false" pain feedback from my leg when it wasn't damaged but no sensation when real damage was being done. I had to go back to the hospital and was diagnosed with having a False Aneurism - essentially the hole through which they put the angiogram tube had not healed over and I had internal bleeding. This is very rare, occurring in only 2% of cases. I was operating on within hours of being examined and assured that once the bleeding was stopped everything would be back to normal. Unfortunately it wasn't and I still have no proper sensation from my right leg which I frequently injure because I can't feel when I am bruising or tearing it.
So, if you have any doubts about your recovery from the procedure I would strongly advise you to contact the hospital for advice. Sorry to be so negative. Remember my case is extremely rare - very few people have problems and, if they do, nearly all of them have a complete recovery following treatment.
