Not much to do with Guy Fawkes and not everyone's cup of tea.

This is our little towns effort for 2012.

We saw £60's worth go off at the brother in laws, 10 mins of standing in the cold for a very poor performance.

We attended Abrakebahbra's bonfire festivities... meal for 15TL, was average... 1 thick slice of chicken breast, 1 meatball, and a skewer of lamb(??). 2 meze's acılı ezme (not so acılı!!) and haydari (erm not so much like haydari! too less mint!!)...
Any hoo, the entertainment was a 'fire show'.... really?? one woman spinning the same old fire thingy around, and spreading everyone with parafin as she went!!!! 
The only time she became 'interesting' was when she started 'hula hooping' around her waist and then her neck!!!.... that was the only ''entertainning factor!!'' of the evening! The so called ''firework display''!!! shock horror!! was a disaster! and a health and safety horror zone!! '' lets place a selection of fireworks on a cardboard box!!!!!!'' The fireworks exploded all over the place..... Celal and other children hid under tables they were soo scared!!!

We went to Palms, very welcoming friendly staff, barbecued chicken, salads, mezes, bread and a free beer or wine for 18tl.
Bonfire by the pool, Fireworks were small table ones, and put around the edges of the restaurant and tables and a great touch of bursting balloons at the same time as lighting fireworks to get authentic bang sounds! Only in Turkey!
Then we had a male belly dancer, later some excellent break dancers, a brilliant dj, and of  course the inevitable audience participation, consisting of me and Terrie and 4 young handsome Turkish guys and a dance routine!
All in all a great night, they had put a lot of effort into entertaining us and being in t shirts rather than hats scarves and gloves was definitely a bonus.
