We've brought a couple of items through from the UK - Gatwick - to Dalaman, and have found that the oversized boxes were left at the side of the carousel, not a problem. The only problem you might find is the tax man/customes man approaching you at this collection point - rather than at the exit - to see what you are bringing in, and whether you should be paying tax. If the item is below a £100 value (
excluding VAT) they will wave you on, particularly if you have a UK receipt for the item on hand, and you tell them that it is a wedding gift

. As the items we have brought have all fallen into this category, we've had no problem, but for non gifts, or not new items, or without a receipt or above a £100 (excluding VAT) I can't say what they will do or indeed charge.
