We are over in June, will we be able to pay cash on the blue bus, or will it be restricted to this bus card by then.  Whereabouts is the office where you can buy the bus card please ?

The Belediye bus I was on today already had a card reader installed next to the driver.

But what happens when it's his day off.

The planned 'green' Calis to Fethiye electric bus service has also been cancelled as nobody could find a 6km extension lead.

It doesn't say in the text that 65+ need to show their ikamet. It says that they need to show their ikametgah belgesi. This is a certificate of residency and can be obtained from the Nufus building next to the municipality.

Just come back from Antalya and they have the same system there. It seems to work well and at the moment you can pay cash ıf you have not got a card. I presume ıt deducts the fare automatıcally from your pre paıd card. When we were ın Izmır last year you had to have a pre paıd card for all transport .

Taking card only isn't ideal for a place where large amounts of people have never been before and are not familiar with public transport or those who only come for a week or a fortnight holiday. I can't imagine too many holiday makers finding the Belediye office above Migros and getting a card. I know they can use the dolmuses but why make one way of getting to Fethiye impossible for tourists? The idea is to make everything easy for people on holiday, believe it or not.
