What a lovely positive email and its so nice you took the time to thank all the people who helped you. I hope you have a wonderful holiday and I am sure Dad will be looking down and smiling. Wonderful to know there are still very genuine people here who have obviously looked after your business transactions. They all deserve a pat on the back.

Nice post Guy. We've never met but I was thinking about your dad whilst I watched his beloved City stuff my team on Sunday. He would have loved the banter and giving me some stick this week!

So glad that it all went smoothly.
When we met you all I just kept thinking about how my 'children' would cope in a similar situation. I hadn't really thought about all the different costs involved if they came in an emergency and how they would deal with everything whilst dealing with loss too.
Since seeing you all I've rethought the finances to make sure that it will go as smoothly as possible for them.
I like to think that they would take the opportunity to use any money ( assuming there's any left! ) to do something special and would enjoy the memories.
I just hope that I've done as good a job with mine as your dad did with you lads.
See you in April hopefully x

hey stoop, i dont think i ever did meet you but i heard dad talk about you often, i know because he always referred to everyone by their screen names, and stoop is a name i remember hearing a lot, probably in relation to football!!! lol

ronzeus ill try not to be a stranger, im always logging in to read things to see whats going on in calis, so ill try to post more often, its always nice to hear from everyone.

and linda, im glad you could take something away, and also hope other people have taken somethingpositive away from the experience, ill admit it was the hardest time of my life but a lot of good memories of those 2 weeks too, but as my grandad would say isnt that what life and death is, there are good and bad things about both, and like you said youve thought about how your children would cope etc, I think what helped us the most was that dad had made me and my brothers power of attorney when he had been ill a few years before, if i could give people any advice its that it is worth thinking about your loved ones, i think if dad hadnt been so ill in 2008 he like most people would have carried on enjoying life not giving a second thought to once he had gone, because its not something we like to think about.

but yes my advice that helped us is to go to the notary and have your children made power of attorney, a turkish will helped us a lot too, everything moved much faster with the courts, as ive said previously a good solicitor like ozlen who you can trust is something im so glad we found, and then the rest just falls into place.

but the best thing is to point your kids in the direction of here, the support from the forum, from the people off buy sell fethiye, it was just overwhelming, i dont think we could have got through it without people like yourselves.

oh and linda i know youve done a good job with your kids, ive seen the pictures on facebook, they seem a credit to you, and you look like a close family. And you will definitely see us in april, we will go for a drink or something to eat somewhere, it was lovely to meet you both last time and we are looking forward to getting to know you a bit better x

If there's a get together in late April please include myself and Buddy as we are both out for our annual Maintenance (hic) trip to sort out the apartments before the season kicks in. I'm sure we won't mind putting the paint brushes down for a few hours to meet up with everyone.  ;D
