Was going to go to the "Fun" pub tonight and give it a try. Then I saw their advert on facebook, football football and more football, not my idea of "fun". So it is no different than any other bar in Calis.

Maybe they just show Arsenal games - that's always a laugh recently :-)

Call me old fashioned but the last thing I look for in a well positioned bar is . . . .FOOTBALL.

Sadly it's the one thing all bars and restaurants think they must have, and every World Cup that occurs drags a few more in as they fear being deserted on big match evenings. Actually the opposite is probably true, that there are a proportion of people who are crying out for a place to go to avoid the football.

Got it in one Keith. I just don't understand the big screen thing. We do avoid if we can. We're no different to most and when there's something on globally important we want to watch, but for a nice evening with good conversation . . .

I'm not negative, I'm positive that people need a place that shows football and positive that other people need a place that does not  :)
