OMG memories. Mine was Elton John in 1970. He was unknown and the venue was a field in Krumlin, Barkisland, about 2 miles from home. I thought I'd forgotten this. It feels surreal now. Thanks for dredging up the memory....that's fab!!    :)

Off topic I know but glad to see you posting Mrs HB ;D ;D ;D

The Bee Gees 1978 in Vancouver, i was on a football tour at the time and the father of the lad i was staying with was the arena manager so it was free entry. It was an amazing concert made even more bearable by the fact that 98% of the audience was female  ;D

OMG!  I'm really starting to feel my age now reading this.  But have to own up to my first band seen live was The Beatles, in 1963, at Huddersfield's ABC Cinema.  I was 11 at the time  :o.

My 16 year old sister and her friend queued overnight for tickets but refused to take me so a neighbour's daughter took me instead.

It will be 50 years ago in November and I can still remember it!   ;D

Also in 1971 - I saw Mungo Jerry at Wimbledon Town Hall supported by Supertamp !!!
(I would guess that Supertramp have made more money out of the music business than Mungo Jerry   :)  :)  :) )

I was only 9 when the Beatles came to Huddersfield Marina but I remember that people queued for 4 days and nights to see them. I was too young when the Rolling Stones came not long after...  My first live group Status Quo in Blackpool... Seen them about 4 times and always fantastic..... We did however used to go to The Fiesta club sheffield where such as The Mindbenders. The Fortunes.. etc. used to perform long after their sell by date but they were always brilliant.

Mercury - saw the Stones too, 1966 I think it was. Saw loads of bands play at the ABC when they all did tours together.

Saw Status Quo a couple of years ago in Halifax!  Still rocking!!   ;D
