Mine was Hawkwind at Kingston Polytechnic in 1971 - aged 17
On entry a guy approached me and asked if I wanted any coke
to which i said no thanks, I'm going for a beer (thought he was offering
me a soft drink - BLESS !!!!!)

They were my first too at Medway & Maidstone Art College also in 1971. I think Black Sabbath and/or Led Zeppelin were on the same bill. To be quite honest I wasn't interested in any of the bands but my girlfriend at the time was the Entertainment Secretary for the college so I was getting free tickets.

OMG memories. Mine was Elton John in 1970. He was unknown and the venue was a field in Krumlin, Barkisland, about 2 miles from home. I thought I'd forgotten this. It feels surreal now. Thanks for dredging up the memory....that's fab!!  :)

T Rex in 1972 Cardiff Capitol theatre (long gone now !), I didn't really like them but a friend of mine gave me a ticket for nothing so I went, I was really glad I did, in all fairness Marc Bolan was outstanding on stage.
