The Rolling Stones, Odeon Theatre Newcastle, 1963, was 15 and just left school. they were my inspiration to move around the U-K, 2 years later I moved to London, the swinging 60.s, best years of my life.  :)  :)

Kevin...I saw BCR as well at the Salutation Hotel,  as well as Christian???  and Marmalade.  Poor souls were on their way down by that time and Slik was just starting and were a class act.
was that Chris Mclure, he often played up the Aberdeenshire way.

Heather who are the band from Perth who had quite a famous hit? I always think Stealers Wheel, but it is obviously not them...
Was it ''the average white band'' some were from the Perth area.

Mine would have been about 1963, my cousin was the membership secretary for the Cavern, my Mum and Dad wanted to go shopping and so they palmed me off with my cousin to take me to the lunchtime session the club used to run on most days. The band on stage were called the Escorts.
