Pre-booking a good boat trip
« on: March 25, 2013, 16:41:08 PM »
Hi all

Here we go..

First time in Calis this year late July early August. Did Kalkan last year!!

Want a good recommend for a boat trip and guidance on whther to book in advance if that is possible.

We will be a part of five and also wonder whether it is possible to hire a boat for just that number?

Cheers

SD

I would imagine you would need a few more to rent a boat privately, maybe you will meet up with some people while here and can share the boat/cost.

if not i can certainly recommend jerryboat if you search on the forum you will find lots of people been with jerry a number a times like us, a great guy with a small boat only taking around 14-18 people out at a time, his wife cooks fab food,  and then a bit of fishing on the boat trip.

you will see Jerry walking along the front in Calis most evening taking bookings, if not pop along to the harbour in fethiye and look for his 2 boats around 6pm we usually catch him there, and book with him there.

Sukru gave us a lovely sunset cruise for the present Mrs H's special birthday in September last year. Well worth a try.

Hi, Jerry’s web site is
www.jerryboat.com also if you wish to rent out a small speedboat for a few hours you can hire one from a guy in Oludeniz , his shop/office is at the very bottom if the road near the beach and on the left, just look for the sign, we did it last September and it was great fun, Hope this helps and have a good time.

Has anybody heard or seen any early season boat trips going out yet or any advertised on the harbour in Fethiye?

calis boat koop charged about 300 lira last year for a day hire which included lunch and coffee and cake in the afternoon for up to 12 people. there was only 6 in our party but still well worth the money. will definately do it again this year.

Must wholeheartedly agree with 'H' on this. Best private boat trip ever. A private trip can be arranges for a few people, as long as the cost is met , (for the full boat that is,) Enjoy, but I would choose Sukru; 'Captain Sugar'

I'd recommend Ali from the Calis Taxi boat for a private trip.  Alis 1 is the name of the boat which can take up to 18 but he prefers smaller numbers so it's not crowded.
He's a lovely young lad and his Mum does fabulous food too

If that's the fellow Mrs H went with last May then she really enjoyed that trip too.
