Good Lord, what have they got that's dangling? 
That reminds me of the last few weeks - I have been giving my 87 yr old mother and 87 yr old father in law computer lessons (and they are both sending emails now) but they are both using a dongle and as the signal is not great where they both live we have extension cables - you should have seen their faces when I told them to always "dangle your dongle over the side of the chair near the window" to face the sky to get a better signal.
Now if either of them have a problem I answer the phone as "hello internet helpline how can I help you?" and they both regularly say "its not the signal as I am dangling my dongle near the window" - god help them if anyone is visiting when they call
