Ahhh...mystery solved Lorraine.  I bet he's run away for a bit. I felt really sorry for him because it went right off his topic, MY fault, and he's actually really pleasant and similar age to my own son. I hope he comes back!   :(

I missed most of this, very good all!

If anyone would like some experience in the ballistics department -- I can see that is going start another round of wonderful vulgarity -- hopefully -- I can recommend a quiet drive in the back streets of Salford around 2 am on most days?  :)

Seriously I suspected that there would be a fair amount of firearms around in Turkey, hopefully those who own them are well skilled in their care as well as their operation, it is not something you can leave in a drawer, it needs cleaning and checking at least weekly, and the ammunition needs to be recycled as it can become unstable over the years. They need to be kept secure as well, in my experience more people are shot with their own weapons than any other way!

Meanwhilke Ytogoz I hope to need your help in a year or so when I plan to be in Calis are for 10 months a year!

johntaylor49.....Well......what a relief!!  After all the upset over the death of Mrs T today, you, posting this just now has once more sent me into another fit of giggling hysterics!!

Whether on purpose or not, every single thing you have just written, has a double meaning! Soooo funny. Thank you. It's really lifted my mood!!!  Absolutely hilarious but it's not vulgar, it's earthy!!   ;D ;D ;D

few list of people who can carry a gun on them at any time;
1) muhtar
2) owner of petro lstation
3) bee keepers (the one with many bee hives- min 100 beehives)
3) juwelery shop owners
4)solicitors
5) telecom enginners who often go to repairs in remote places
6) forest guards

this list can go very long, it is just to give you an idea, carrying a gun is just as normal as having a mobile phone in turkey, so don't worry as it wont change anything , so have fun and think twice before you go in to an argument with your neighbour  :)

also did you realise that i wrote item number 3 twice ?
you just went up there to check it now didnt you?
  :)

A bee keeper is going to be a damn good shot (and have loads of bullets)

Ytokgoz,
Add Farmers to that list.  One local Farmer near us shoots regularly at crows and dogs.  Our Gardener used to bring his dog with him every day and we knew the dog well as he also spent time in our garden. One year we arrived and no dog. We asked the Gardener where "Peanut" was.  "My friend shot him" he said... We were amazed, turned out, his friend, a Farmer shot Peanut because he was pestering the Farmer's female dog.  What surprised us was the way the Gardener just accepted this. Turned out the Farmer's dog was pregnant so, the Gardener was given a puppy  by the Farmer.
