Yes H, in her first public statement when arriving in Downing Street she quoted: "Where there is discord let us bring harmony". Whatever wonderful tributes her supporters pour out I don't think any will think that she did a great job of this.

Really H?  Why?  Somebody has just passed away. How very disrespectful.

She lived, she did her best, she made mistakes just like the rest of us.

Unless I have a very bad memory, she is the first ex PM since Winston Churchill who is being afforded a Ceremonial funeral.

I agree Highlander but I did find the Jimmy Saville comparison somewhat off field..........

Whatever ones opinion of her I cannot see how they can be compared with JS, you may not have liked what she said or did but I believe she was truthful and honest in her actions regardless of her position. Not quite like JS who was a nasty, manipulating, evil molester of the innocent.

Will someone else compare a Great Britain with Gary Glitter next   ;)

Really Colwyn, don't you think she did a good job of curing the disease of the 1970,s unions arrogance that they were the employers and not the companies they worked for, and of course you dont think she was right to sent our troops to the falklands to regain our land. and as a tory yes I believe she did things wrong , I-e the poll tax, at the time I recall my thoughts which were god what on earth is she trying to do. but as I said earlier this is about a premiers death, whatever party you follow, and why we should show respect to whoever it may be, in this case Margaret Thatcher. god bless her and rest in peace.

OMG! I am truly appalled at that picture....or whatever it is!  Please let's have a bit of respect for a leader who brought this country back from the brink of anarchy!

I feel genuinely sad and also really quite upset at that disgraceful post.

The lady has passed just this morning!! I know people are going to have differing opinions but please let's keep them respectful.

I for one will not shed a tear, and I sincerely hope that they do not hold a state funeral and expect the tax payer to pick up the bill.

Let's face it - today's society is full of people with no respect - not even for themselves in many cases.

I have refrained from even replying to many posts on Facebook as they are not worth dignifying with a reply. I also wonder how many of those taking a pop at her now were cheering her when she sent the task force to free the Falklanders?

Shame on those who have no respect for one of our former leaders. I can't think of another country who would have people showing such lack of respect to a former PM.
