Because that would have required a vote in parliament I expect Stoop.  Bit of a risk...  The only real difference is that the gun carriage will be drawn by horses instead of sailors so it wasn't the noble act people seem to be thinking.  There was talk yesterday of a national holiday but it was just speculation I think.

8 million is the lastest estimate of the cost of her funeral.

Blimey when I went off line after my last - balanced and even handed - post to Mrs Bucket, I never expected on my return to see so much -figurative - blood on the forum carpet.  I've had a real laugh, even if many of the posts are off topic.  So back to the topic, is Mrs Bucket as mad as old Thatcher in her day?  :P

Never thought it would be a public holiday! She asked not to have a State funeral.

"SHE" asked not to have a state funeral,  thats a relief then,  and there was me worried that the great British Tax Payer was doing her a dishonour.

Since posting this link several hours ago there has been a change.

Dorothy seems to have more friends than Maggie.

The scum of the earth as far as I'm concerned!

Have you really nothing better to do? If not, I feel so very sorry for your sad lives!
