Just looking into booking Izmir to Istanbul and then Istanbul to gatwick a few days later with Turkish airlines and unsure if prices include baggage

Turkish Airlines do not restrict your baggage which is another reason why I too am flying from Izmir to Istanbul for 4 days then with Turkish Airlines to Edinburgh.  My outbound flight with Jet2 to Bodrum is cheap enough but they charge quite a lot for hold luggage but overall I'm saving quite a bit going this way AND I get to visit Istanbul.
