Boric Acid
« on: April 09, 2013, 20:38:41 PM »
With the mild winter and seemingly early spring, we are seeing lots of ants around at the moment. I've seen a recipe on both Facebook and YouTube using boric acid, sugar and water soaked cotton balls to control ants. Anyone know where you can buy Boric Acid in Fethiye ?

Try the pharmacies. Ask for Borik Asit.

Plenty of information about it here http://www.buzzle.com/articles/boric-acid.html

Why not go to a garden/agriculture shop and get ant killer? Plenty in Fethiye.

The English chemist in Fethiye George is where I got mine but all the chemists sell it... Keep it away from pets...

Picric Acid is also very good, makes a bit of a mess though!  :)

Seriously, somewhere, deep in the recesses of the drawers on what I laughingly refer to as the desk in my study --- to others that pile of junk I sit at with the drawers overflowing, there is a recipe for keeping ants at bay i used in Iran many years ago and it really worked, I will try and find it for you!
