How much does our summer wardrobe cost
« on: April 24, 2013, 22:58:04 PM »
Should people stop buying this outfit from Primark ? And, of course, I don't mean on a fashion level)

PS I don't shop at Primark but I have no idea where my summer t-shirts are made

I think it would be fair to say H that most of us could not say under what conditions our clothes (or a lot of other stuff we have for that matter) are made under. Sadly it goes on.

Pity his trousers don't reach his feet though.

I think if they pay too little it is no different to the UK, people won't come. What may sound derisory to us most probably is not to those who do this work. If £1 a day (as an example, I have no idea what is being paid) is an insult, they won't do the job. That means the money is welcome locally. It's not for us to lecture or judge. That's it, entirely.

Can Primark be held responsible for the factory owners allegedly being warned the previous day about a large crack that had appeared in the building but deciding to ignore it and keep the factory open ?

M.&.S. and Next have things made in these sort of places.  I don't shop in Primark, the queues alone would put me off.
