Are you getting married in Calis, Fethiye, Oludeniz etc?
« on: April 25, 2013, 19:28:37 PM »
I have recently opened a wedding dress shop in Fethiye called Fethiye Gelinlik. There are wedding dresses to buy (prices starting at a very modest 450tl and also to rent.My Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/GelinlikButik
I am also looking at the possibility of men's suit hire as this is something I get requests for a lot of the time.
Is there anyone out there that knows roughly how much its costs to hire a suit in the UK for 2 weeks?
Thanks for your help.
PS. I have spoken to scunner about mentioning my shop on here x

Yes and with the number of questions we get here about getting married in the area I thought it might be of interest to members.

If I where you I would think about hiring out waistcoats and matching ties/cravats.  Also dress shirts. My son who married last September consulted with his friends and they all decided they did not want to wear suits for a wedding in Turkey. My son was marrying on the beach and it seemed it was going to be hot and suits would be over dressing.  The all wore dress shirts, waistcoats, cravets and linen trousers and light coloured shoes.  We note a lot of weddings in Turkey where the groom, best man etc., do not wear suits.  However, there are Scottish Weddings and kilts are heavy, so you might think about kilt hire too.  ;)

Also as a side line look at wedding cake toppers, printed napkins, balloons with names on, fans that are printed with wedding dates.  ;)  All  these things are available in the U.K. and we took them out to Turkey with us. So if you could provide them it would save suitcase space and they may be a little side earner for your business... 10% for me if you start making a profit from my ideas. ;D : :)

My daughter got married at Sugar Beach in June a couple of years ago. The wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses and accessories were taken from UK and the men wore linen trousers and white shirts with sandals. There wasn't a tie, cravat or pair of socks anywhere in sight. Everybody said how lovely the piccies were that Scun posted for me  ;D ;D

We had wasitcoats cravats and fancy shirts no jackets light trousers, we had the waistcoats made here was cheaper than hiring and bringing from the UK. My sons wedding last year was about £90 for the fancy suit shirt and cravat for 3 days hire.

Please accept my apologies for the spelling mistake, I have just had a cataract operation.
