We arrived back home on Monday past and I reckon they are probably more than three quarters finished from top of road, didn't find it too much of an in convenience going back roads, bit bumpy but got there in the end, they laid the dolphin roundabout area in a day, wooden sleeper structure erected on round about but no idea what is going to go there.

Anyone got a photo of the roundabout - or, when it's finished?  Would be good to see it before I'm back in October!
Thanks...

Looks a bit like a funeral pyre! How far into the winter do you think we'll get before the wood disappears to feed someone soba  ;)

And they've planted a tree right in the middle, just what you don't want on a roundabout when it starts to grow. Must admit it looks nice though.

This is what's on the roundabout at our home - machinery from an old iron/ steel works - wouldn't fancy crashing into any of the large pieces of machinery. There's a man in the UK produces calendars of roundabouts of the UK

These characters live on the roundabout in my old hometown.
They've become a real talking point on the Shoreham forum and people have been dressing them up, scarves when it was cold, Christmas hats, reindeer ears, football wear when Brighton was battling for promotion etc.
