Calis road works
« on: May 02, 2013, 08:57:19 AM »
We have just come back from Calis and unfortunately it looked more like Beirut with pavements being dug up.  The roads are also pretty bad more like pot hole city these days,  so be aware when driving or riding cycles.

The work was meant to finish by the end of April but has been extended mid / end of end of May. So we were told....   The main road up near Aydin Pide is especially bad, so be prepared for major dust.

I know it'll look great when its all finished, but why not start these things and make sure they are finished well before the beginning of the season.

Fingers crossed when its finished it will look great, lets hope its done properly and the road is not going to be one very large patchwork quilt style road.I hope it will be like most of the main roads in Fethiye but I wont hold my breath or maybe I should because of all the dust... :(

Will it look great? Normally it just goes back to looking how it was before they started ripping lumps out of it.

I just put 'what a mess' into the search bar and it tells me that each word must be at least two characters long - ha ha !!!!!

Hope it gets done quicker than the Günlükbaşı road - thats over a year now and pavements still not renewed.
