unfortunately bostans had to close because of the landlord being too greedy. such a shame after carol and recep and friends had put a lot of hard work into it. quite sure may members of the cbf will agree. never used the place too much but when we were there nothing but praise for their efforts. good luck to them in any other future plans. people should no the facts before posting.

Thank you Jack for explaining, there are people on here who "know it all" sometimes and seem to think it clever or amusing to treat those who dont "know it all" like some sort of idiot! Used to experience the same sort of attitude amonst the awful Brits in Dubai which is why I simply refused to live in Jumeirah with them all. I will never forget the person who when asked what he did in Dubai replied " I wear expensive designer clothes and drive rather fast cars, now, if you will excuse me ...."  :) Actually not very funny really!

Great shame, they seemed nice people and I enjoyed going there, glad it isnt the State Secret it seemed about what happened.

Who are you talking about?

Stop skirting round it and tell us - who "should no the facts before posting"

and who are the  "people on here who "know it all" sometimes and seem to think it clever or amusing to treat those who dont "know it all"

I genuinely cannot see any evidence of either in this topic - or are you just generally sounding off about people that don't exist saying things that weren't said? As far as I can work out, the only person Jack13 could have been referring to is you, and you then agreed with him...

So, is it closed for good, have they moved elsewhere, did the Kempei Tai
drag them from their beds in the Middle of the Night? Were they adbucted by Aliens????

Bizarre topic.

Sir

I assume that was levelled at me. If so, then let me explain my post as best I can.

The “Eh  ???” – was not questioning the fact that you did not know that Bostans had closed. I did know.

That doesn't make me a “know all”. It simply means I had read the previous thread about Bostan’s and you hadn’t. Perhaps you were away when it was running.

The “Eh  ???” was simply because I could not understand your post. Perhaps that’s my fault.

But, I confess still to being at a loss as to knowing what aliens, or a military police force administered by the Japanese War Ministry during WWII, had remotely to do with a very hard working couple having to close a popular restaurant in Calis Beach.

Clearly, the fact that I had to google Kempeitai demonstrates that far from being a “know all” there are huge gaps in my knowledge. :(

Yes they were and I agree with that totally. I still would like to know who said otherwise, without knowing the facts. Could you at least tell me who you were accusing of doing that.

hmm well perhaps I was a little hasty, and I apologise to anyone I may have offended, and nothing was levelled at you Highlander, more general about posts with half a story.

not accusing anybody scunner. just disappointed in some people making silly remarks about people who are trying to make a success here in calis and then getting shot down because of Turkish laws. apologise to anybody I have offended. end of.

I don't think you offended anyone, I was interested to know if someone was writing false or misinformed info on here about then. Agree with everything else you said.
