Since my arrival in Spain ,I have been told that getting residency in Spain is a lot more difficult than Turkey ,well to-day we set off to do it.
I did not employ any of the translators (all Brits of course) who kindly offered to hold our hands and do the work for us, all highly recommended by a section of expats .Well worth it they say to pay 20 euro an hour and a taxi to our nearest office in Cartagena ,cost 50 euro.
I asked one of the local girls who worked in my lawyers office if there was any locals who did this ,after consulting her boss ,she phoned her husband who was a local taxi driver who said he would do it for us .
Picked up at 07.30 ,taken to police station ,a bit of waiting ,no problems at all back home at 10.35 Total cost 60 euro.Great service.
Moral of story wherever you are, never listen to expat kn0b heads ,they are everywhere.
