Glasgow flight delay
« on: May 22, 2013, 05:40:49 AM »
Anyone expecting folks at Dalaman on 7am thomas cook flight from Glasgow will have a long wait. Passengers now getting bussed to Manchester for a flight leaving at 3 pm. Technical difficulties apparently on in coming plane stuck at Palma. Irony is, 2 elderly ladies behind me in check in queue, drove up from Manchester yesterday to fly from Glasgow as it was cheaper!!! Poor souls.

I have made a claim to Thomas Cook  and I am seeking compensation under EC Regulation 261/2004 for this flight.
I may get nowhere.
Regarding flying the plane to Glasgow, ground staff allege that it was a bigger plane and couldn't get addition cabin crew at short  notice.

Toky i have tried the claim route for flight cancellation in ABZ last year, came back with a load of legal gobbldey gook and a cheque for £50, not happy but to pursue it was going to take a long time and a load of hassle, that is what they are expecting you to do, forget about it, normally im a person to get a grip of something and see it through but when i read the reply, no thanks.

Well we are legally entitled to some kind of refund, so, although I'm usually the one who says, "oh it's forgotten about, let's move on",  this time I am going to give it a go. I can take on the big boys lol
