Hi, can I once again call on your knowledge?

My wife recently flew flew from London via Istanbul (Sahiba Gokcen) & onto Dalaman. This route was chosen purely on price which I now live to regret. On arriving at Istanbul there was a flood of planes arriving at pretty much the same time and consequently the arrivals area was chaotic.
Not having flown into Istanbul before (and of course not speaking a word of Turkish apart from merhaba & efes),  my wife found the whole thing intimidating and managed to get confused as to where she needed to go. Eventually after much chasing around & actually going through passport control & back in again, she caught her internal flight with minutes to spare but was extremely stressed by the situation & is now dreading the return journey this Thursday.
My question is what should she be looking for when she arrives at Istanbul, what signs, what direction etc should she be looking out for?
By the way the Pegasus ground staff at the Istanbul were apparently worse than useless!
Any advice that you can give, that will make the return journey run a little more smoothly will be greatly appreciated. It might also soften the abuse I am going to be receiving for being such a tight fisted old git.... :-[

She should be looking for the sign for 'Transit' which by-passes passport control and there is an information desk there for any queries and screens to tell you which gate to wait at for your flight.Transit is the same in most languages so if in doubt just ask someone but she should be able to see the signs, take time and dont feel worried.

You often can't go through transit if your flying domestic for the next flight. You are supposed to get your visa in Istanbull(residency stamp inase. passport)

You should look for "Domestic Terminal.) You have to walk over the flyover (inside) from the ground level.

Thats the way we always come in (But not from uk)
Your baggage can be checked right through and when you get to Dalaman you will be taken on a coach to the international terminal to pick up ypur baggage. DONT forget this or your pick up will be at the domestic terminal and it's quite a long walk with a suitcase

Thanks for the information which I have just passed on. Hopefully armed with this knowledge & a request for directions to the International departure area written in Turkish, she will make the connection without any problems. I will let you know how she got on once she is home. Roll on August when we are both back out to Calis.
Thanks again, John
