Yoruk tents Calis ( turkish music nights )
« on: June 04, 2013, 12:32:06 PM »
Love turkish folk/dance music and have only just found out that in Calis there are whats called `the yoruk tents` or its official name is .. `Fethiye Yoruk Cadirlari`
Anyone know  where that is please ? and whats the best nights to go ? and do they sell alchohol ?  and lastly how much is a taxi from Hisaronu to Calis late at night ?
Also are there any similar places in Fethiye where turkish folk/dance music is played .. music similar to the now long gone but great `turk bar` in Hisaronu  ?

it is on Calis front walking towards the Sat bar, they do sell alcohol but we found it very expensive last year, I realise they have to cover the cost of the entertainment.
Last season some friends went a couple of times to the new tents at the big AI hotel on the dolphinless roundabout, drinks were very reasonable and good entertainment.

Well I can't answer your questions but I can only say we went there a few years ago and had a lovely time. The local people included us and made us dance etc. can't remember prices and we went late so we didn't eat. I have heard that the drink prices can be high but we just had fun and it was a fabulous end to a special evening.

Toky is talking about the ones at the hotel being demolished, the ones on Calis front are still there.
