we got a dolmus to Marmaris a couple of years ago and spent the whole day wanting to come back! I think we'll go again out of season because there must be some good bits, we just couldn't see them for the crap!! We are still in Calis, and agree that all the restaurants along the front are heaving, (there was even a conga line going round VOJO's last night as we walked by). The one place that constantly astounds us by it's lack of trade is the B52, how does it stay in business is beyond me!

Fran,
Georges  meals are smaller portions,  spaced out around the plate looked nice  with big gaps between various items , and prices were 5-10 tlr more than Most other places for the same meal choice, even the brill puffy bread was small, we only visited 2 times this holiday due to this

Thanks for that, we love George's, but I agree that it is more expensive than the other restaurants, never had a problem with portion sizes though. Ate their in may and noticed that if their are only 2 of you then they give you a small puffy bread and a large one for 4 people.

Ha! We were saying the same thing in May. Tip for them: turn the music down and perhaps change the style of music slightly. Also dont have several young men sat at the front looking a little intimidating. (They're probably just really, really bored staff but it's off putting all the same).

We, as usual, had a few meals at Georges, have to say the portions where just the same as always.  I struggled to finish my main course a few times.  We noted it was very good value with main courses, desserts and drinks i.e. G & T's, Wine, Beer for two, coming up at around 95 lira.  The most expensive meal in Calis was the Bambu.
The nights we where in, George's, was full but Enya and The Serkul's where empty.

4 people in B52 at 11.30 tonight, more staff than punters!

Here in the UK, I own and run a live music, late night bar (along with my husband and 3 children), so I find it very frustrating to see a bar occupy a prime location and not seemingly know what to do about making it successful! Now, if it were mine......... : :)
