Is it a holiday, or an Endurance Test ?

Work Hard - Play hard Kkob   ;)

Nothing is set in stone and it is planned with both my Wife and Sons needs fully considered as they both like it all done for them Ray1951  ;D

I have done the lazy lets see what happens Holidays and for me not much happens so with some sort of Itinerary it works for us   ;)

I'll take your tip on board Jacqui about the Hamman but again that was for my Wife and Son as being rubbed down by some sweaty bloke is not really my cup of tea   ;)

I think it's a good idea to have a mix of both, know where you want to go and want you want to do but also not really plan it.   :)

This year we only know that as a group we want to do a boat trip, probably aim for mid-holiday, go to Mozaic Bahce (this will be planned for the parent's anniversary) a jeep safari for us four younger ones, and most likely a trip to the fish market at somepoint.

Otherwise, the rest of the time will be spent relaxing by the pool or beach, dinner then going to a couple of bars for drinks. I remain optimistic that I will do the walk from Fethiye to Kaya Koy, but weather/heat depending!

But I admire the planning Robw! Maybe in May one year I would try to achieve your list!   :)

I do like the 4th - dinner at the holiday favourite, that sounds like something we would do  :)

Why has everyone (almost) whose following this thread got the same avatar - why - what does it mean - am I missing something?

Feel exhausted just reading your plan!  Just relax and enjoy, that's what holidays are for. :D

I like to plan things out and be organised.  I'm going to Calis for 10 days, Kusadasi for 14 days then 4 days in Istanbul.  Apart from Istanbul which will involve sightseeing and shopping, the rest will be done on the basis of 'what do I fancy doing today?'. I have no one to please but myself  which is sheer BLISS.  Enjoy your holiday, it will be fantastic.    :)

Rob, I think your plan is spot on. You have a clear idea of what would be good to do each day and if you decide otherwise then so be it. We notice many people who visit our complex during the summer spend each and every day by the pool, I totally understand that it's their choice but can't help feeling they are missing so much.

After our last 12 days in calis, every night we planned what we were going to do the next day, and 11 out of 12 times this did not happen, I think being completely chilled and going with the flow is the secret to a truly relaxing holiday!!
