My husband quite enjoyed being the conductor. Passing everyone's fares and change back on one journey in June! Only because he was standing near the front of the crowded dolmus which continued picking up people even though we could hardly breathe!

We've done the trip many times.....dolmus from Calis to Fethiye and then Fethiye to Olu...you could even get off in Hisaronu and spend an hour or so there. Fabulous journey and no hassle. Even the smell of burning brakes as the Dolmus descends in to Olu doesn't put us off  8)

we've walked down the hill many times from Hisaronu to O D, and been singed by the heat of the exhausts, and choked by burning brake linings. Fabulous!

I quite fancy the walk down that hill. Probably just as much as I DONT fancy the walk UP the hill.

Gosh Angela, not quite sure what you and your hubby got up to on this trek of yours, but I'll be having none of that, thank you very much.  :o

Oludeniz is lovely but I have to say it will always be Calis Beach for me early morning walk along the prom its beautiful and the scenery is forever changing especially in the winter time plus the wonderful sunsets we have there.

Calis for me too, Olu is just a bit too commercialised for me now. It was the first place we ever tried in Turkey over 11 years ago and we loved it but it is now nearly unrecognisable to what it was then which is such a shame!! I know Calis isn't perfect but it still has a certain charm. Defo worth a visit to Olu though just to see the lagoon and if you're looking for a nice safe beach it has to be Sugar Beach every time!

Totally agree, a visit to Olu Deniz is a must but staying there is out of the question when you have the magic of Calis on your doorstep.  Many years ago I said I would never visit a resort more than once for a holiday as there was so much more in the world to see, but have been back to Calis five times and cant wait to go again!!

I never stayed down there, but when we first found it 7 or 8 yrs ago we thought it was delightful, and loved spending days there, now it's only ever a passing visit, as it's just too much, too crowded on the beach, too many sunbeds. I'll always love the view but that's the only thing. Calis for me!
