calis to Oludeniz
« on: July 11, 2013, 21:01:18 PM »
Help required. Its our 5th trip to Calis this year and we have always wanted to travel to oludeniz for the day. Unfortunatley its been too hot to do anything in the past, other than swim in the pool or walk on the prom. I'm wondering is there a direct route or is it a pain to get too. I'm travelling as a family or four, two adults and two young children. Any help would be grateful. Thanks

You have various options;-
1/ Calis to Fethiye by Dolmus then Fethiye to Olu by Dolmus
2/ Calis to Fethiye by Water taxi then walk to Dolmus station then Fethiye to Olu by Dolmus
3/ Taxi each way

It's 2 dolmuses to Olu from Calis. You can either get off the sahilden route at the junction where the main Migros is & cross the main road out of Fethiye & get the Olu one there. Or go all the way to the terminus & you'll see the Olu dolmus behind where the sahilden one parks up

We've done the trip a few times from Gunlukbasi. It takes approximately an hour taking the two dolmus's. We usually get a taxi back, about 65TL for the taxi back. Well worth a visit.

Carl_Oldh, it's absolutely no hassle getting there from Calis. The new dolmus are air conditioned now, and its a very pleasant journey.

If I were on the Gunlukbasi dolmus I would change at the otogar rather than traipsing into town.
(although there is always a chance that the Olu dolmus might be full at that point !)
