Ways to make money in Calis

The Noddy Train thread got me thinking ........

How many of us walk round Calis and say :
“Wouldn’t it be good idea if someone started a business doing .................  (fill in the blank)

On the grounds that none of us will ever have the opportunity or chance to start the business up, perhaps we should share these ideas with some one that could .......

My idea to make someone a millionaire .........

ICE CREAM VANS

My fee for this idea would be very modest

Anyone else got any other ideas  ?

A restaurant that sells Desserts and IceCreams etc only. So after your meal, or instead of, you come to my place and choose from such delights as :

Knickerbocker Glory (made with fresh fruit and home made ice cream)
Ice cream / confectionary mixes
Waffles, Crepes and Cupcakes
Various fruit crumbles
Cheesecake selections
Milk Shakes
Etc etc

I would call it 'Just Desserts'

Not that I have thought about it before .......

A proper beauty Salon that offered good hairdressers and nail technicians who can do acrylic and gel nails.
It would absolutely clean up.  As there are so many people who go up to Hisaronu and Ovacik for nails care.

The main problem that I have encountered with Turkish "business people" is that, if a business opens up, no matter what that business sells, be it hair stylists, restaurant, bar, ice cream shop, the minute that it starts to be a success, all of a sudden, there is a jealous rush for surrounding businesses to copy that one, and we end up with no-one making profit, because in order to then be competitive, the standard of hired staff  has to come down, food quality drops, service suffers, etc. etc. etc. Don't say that this would not happen, we have all SEEN
it happen!!

P.S. to above; The easiest way to run a profitable business ANYWHERE, is to be honest, give good service/food, just take a look at how "Gunisik Restaurant", (Frank Cannons ), has become probably the best frequented little restaurant in Calis.

I do not have an idea for a business venture but the ice cream idea I just wanted to say we have used that little McDonalds kiosk on the prom a few times now and they are fabulous  :)the Mcflurrys are a little dearer then the Uk but not by much think they were 3.5tl but they also do a sundae at I think 2.5tl and the little cones, I had a blackcurrant mcflurry and it was devine will defo use again and again  and again  :)now that was someone's fab idea

Karennina, I agree, I got far too familiar with the Toblerone ones, they are still on my hips three weeks down the line
