we've seen a few days like that in the summer there mind you. We had to wade through flood water in Fethiye one year.

I would like to visit Calis out of season, perhaps even for Xmas but its getting there!

I believe that Dalaman is only open for Domestic flights? Or closed completely? So it is
Antalya and a very expensive transfer?? I imagine the ferry from Rhodes doesn't run either!

I drove from Calis to Cappadoccia* and back in June this year and it actually looks as if
Istanbul to Calis would be quicker but if the weather turns bad-----

*I am used to driving long distances, but if anyone is thinking of Combining a Seaside and Cappaoccia Holiday
I would recommend either taking 2 days to get there and 2 days back, or stay somewhere on the cost near Adana. I did the journey both ways taking just one day, 12 hours one way and 10 the other -- its tiring!

Fly into Istanbul and then the commuter flight down to Dalaman, you will also find that some of the transfer companies are still working,

John, Pegasus fly 6 days a week from stansted via Istanbul with only just over an hour wait. We fly out on 20th December for less than £100 each (Xmas is expensive) and over Xmas Thomas cook fly direct from gatwick for 3 about weeks, so we come back for £70 each. I will try and post photos from last January of clear blue skies and tshirt weather (we did have a few downpours lol) but a great escape from British winter!
