Looked out of the the kitchen window before we went to bed last night and the outside light was on after being triggered.  Three young badgers where eating seeds from under the bird feeders.  We stood and watched them, and they seemed not to notice us a few feet away.
I sometimes need reminding how lucky we are to live where we do.

We had a 'pet' skunk in our garden for a summer when I lived in Chicago.  My dad bravely (or foolishly) got up close and took a photo of him.  Amazing.  Your story's cuter though Jacqui.   ;D

Badgers carry TB, so be careful, they spread through the fact that they are incontinent and P!$$ over everything as they walk around your garden.

Yes, I know about the T.B. thing, we have had them in the garden for years now.  They live down in our trees.  There is one thing I know, they are safe with us, no one is going to be gassing them.

Seen your picture before last year on Facebook Stoop, very well done by someone, I remember it was also sent to me by a friend in the States.
