The popular Çalış Christmas Fair and Craft Market takes place this year on Sunday 8 December and the 3C's are asking stallholders to book early to avoid disappointment.
The colourful festive event, now in its seventh year, which is organised by our charity, is being held in and outside all the bars and restaurants on Çalış seafront.
It is now an established event in the social calendar of Çalış with thousands of visitors attending from all over the Mugla area. Last years event was full to capacity with a record 160 stalls selling all types of Christmas goods, festive fare, presents, cards and decorations as well as craft stalls selling everything from wooden carvings, decorative ironwork and silk paintings to canal art, stone garden ornaments and stained glass. There was also a number of charity stalls from across the district raising money for various good causes.
The highlight of the event, particularly for the youngsters, is when Father Christmas arrives on the promenade in his decorated “sleigh” and takes up residence in his grotto in the “winter wonderland” garden.
All money raised from the stall fees (net of table and tarpaulin hire costs) along with sales from the 3C’s committee stalls goes towards the Çalış Children’s Charity, helping children in the local area.
Bookings are already coming in for this popular event so if you are intending to book a stall please PM me or dizzy Jan or ring the charity phone 0536 373 9520. Each stall pitch (2 tables width) costs 25TL including table hire. Recognised charity stalls will be allowed one pitch for free
