Other than the association with Cider, Somerset (notably Bridgwater) rarely hits the headlines other than in November when it is widely recognised as the Capital of Illuminated Carnival.
This year's event again attracted 120,000+ spectators for the 130 entry procession, but the charity collection was below previous years at just over £21,000, so for the
free show this equates to 17p per person!
This is a real reality check and highlights the amazing results of the 3C's.
