Mini bus hire
« on: November 13, 2013, 20:09:50 PM »
Well I searched diligently, but failed to find anywhere to hire a minimum 12 to maximum 16 seater bus in or around Calis. Has anyone knowledge of whether it can be done? Would be on a self drive basis, no need for a hire company driver. Tried our usual chap Mutlu at Pegasus and only nine sweaters available there. Thanks.

When I tried to do this it seemed cheaper/easier just to hire one with the driver :(

Self-drive mini-buses are like hen's teeth. You'll find it far easier to hire one, with a driver, from one of the dolmus co-ops or transfer/tour companies.

Our friend hired a 14 seater last week from Fethiye Lovers on Baris Manco. We were going to Antalya airport to fly to Northern Cyprus for 4 days. Nice bus and very good driver - all door to door. Think it was 900tl for the 14 of us.

We would also recommend Fethiye Lovers, they  took Wedding guest to Olu last year in a very nice mini bus with an excellent driver.

Thank you one and all. Sorry about the sweater not seater typo, missed that one.
There will be a large group over in August and I want to have a bus available for ad hoc trips whenever we fancy it so will have a think about it. Thanks again everyone.

I too have thought about this. We are planning on having at least 12 of us all together at our place at some stage next year and it would be nice to explore the area together.

However, if I can get a good deal from the dolmus ko-op with one of their drivers I would definitely consider it. He'll know the area far better than us and hopefully we could get an English speaking driver which I would consider a real bonus.

If this happens, I will let everyone know how it went.

Thanks robin mc and Menthol. I see a second hand Dolmus on the horizon. Painted brightly with CBF and 3C's logos with local sponsors. Communal CBF usage at non profit rates. When we come over I 'll have to bring my spanners. Qualified, so no worries.
