santa
« on: November 18, 2013, 01:23:49 AM »
today we took the grand kids to st Georges hall in Liverpool to see Santa ( i know it is only November )
the entrance was were the prisoners use to be taken to the cells it was very magical all lit up with loads of fairy lights and the twins and George we very quiet, struck dumb
then  pixies and fairies greeted them and spoke to them about what they would like for Xmas.
then there was a train ride to the grotto and there pixies making toys in the old cells
then another fairy took them into Santa who asked what they wanted and gave them a presents and told them to be extra good.
i must say for the money £6 it was a bargain and so different  and unusual they really enjoyed themselves and could not stop talking about Santa.

I always think of the Grottos in Liverpool from when I was a kid, there was T.J.Hughes and Lewis's which were always great, the Grottos then had huge areas to walk around and see  a themed story before you met Santa. I think the Grottos now have not been a patch on the ones I used to go to, however, this one sounds great.  I would love to go with my Granddaughter to that one   Taking her to Edinburgh at the end of the month so hope we find a good Grotto there.
