Watch out when you exit the shower.

I went on holiday to Gran Canaria,Riu Waikiki in Playa Del Ingles.Brilliant holiday.However,on the 3rd day of my 2 week holiday I slipped coming out of the shower and landed with my left ankle bent underneath thus breaking my tibia at the ankle.Went to bed thinking I'd sprained it but had to go to hospital after I called a doctor the following day who said it might be fractured.It was.After treatment,had to get a certificate of competence to fly which I got.I am so angry at myself because when my grandaughter Lucy comes after picking her up at school on a Tuesday,she gets a shower,with a towel laid on the floor of the bath to prevent her slipping.I didn't do that :(After returning home,I went to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride and was seen by a consultant.Simple fracture and the Spanish plastercast has been replaced with a Christmas themed one.Anything for a laugh  :)Can't go to the disco however

The last pilot I flew with must have got his licence the same way that you did !

Hi I know how you feel about angry with yourself.  I went over on my foot and broke 2 bones outside Calis Migros (by Sunday market) due to trying to avoid road works.  This was the end of July 2013. Only just trying to walk without crutches.  Get well soon just have lots of patience.
