Whilst we still take part in the great Xmas tradition of Family Circle biscuits whilst opening the presents, its not been the same since they put them in plastic instead of a proper tin, and you could safely use the term "and don't forget to add to the shopping list a big TIN of biscuits".

More alarming than the type of container is the weight of the biscuit content. Whilst they don't look much different, I can report (because we keep the boxes for the kids' Home economics requirements), 2011: 855g, 2012: 800g, 2013: 700g. A disgrace!

On the subject of Christmas adverts, I haven't seen the Famous Grouse yet - mind you I don't know the last time I watched ITV. Seems to be full of Celebrity Downton Factor rubbish.
