We didn't have to show a paper copy of the visa at Dalaman it is all on the passport so I wouldn't worry too much about printing it out.

Gonna sound like a right plantpot here, but how does it get on your passport.

When applying for visa you input all of your passport details, then visa is given unique number which is linked to your passport electronically. When they scan passport it will confirm your visa, they then put the stamp in your passport.

I was quite surprised that you didn't have to show the printed copy of the visa BUT I think it is prudent to have it with you, incase the 'system' goes bust or something.  At least you would have proof that you have the visa.  Overall, I think the system is very good.

The print out is there in case there is a problem with the computer and they cannot verify you have a Visa.
Best to print it out as the Turkish Authorities request.  Also it's a handy reminder for you as it gives the exact date your Visa runs from and to. ;D

Laffa I am going to sound an even bigger plant pot.
Silly question two
We normally go May and September so always had to buy two visas.
The e visa is dated till November.
Do I get two trips for the price of one or do we have to buy again.

If it says November, it's valid until November.

Yes, two trips for the price of one you can do multiple entry on that Visa as long as you are not in Turkey for more than 90 days.  Good for people who do a couple of holidays in the summer.    :)

When we flew into Dalaman we had no problems with the e-visa.  :)
